Fighting The Tears Poem by Matthew Holloway

Fighting The Tears

Rating: 5.0

It's funny
In the most unpleasant way
How those little things
Bring back little memories
A song on the radio
A day out in the sun
A visit to the supermarket
Seeing something and thinking
How ideal it would be
To gift or share with
Only it doesn't matter now
Time has past away
And taken with it
All those possibilities
So all that's left
Are bitter cruel memories
Your reminded of
Too often
