Final Bell Poem by shakil ahmed

Final Bell

Rating: 5.0

Final Bell

I don’t find time to weave a dream
With golden castles full with fairies
In a sojourn and lonely island
Far away from agony and miseries.

Life is full of cuts and painful thorns
Spread in every alley and passage
Small scraps of sweet memories and happiness
Are marred by doleful message.

In hours of miseries and sufferings
We earnestly wait for a ray of light
But the flags of joy never flutter
In the cloudy sky of dark night.

I pine for a world full of sweet dreams
Where I will wonder with smile
Crossing the green valley and white river
That spread mile after mile.

With vigour and full energy
I go ahead with all my might
Very carefully, I put my steps
To cross the ghostly dark night.

I dream for a wonderful heaven
Living in an ugly gaping hell
Fleeting time is running swiftly
To proceed the hour of final bell.

A pretty stark and despairing read, you really bare yourself in this, your feelings are those empathic to mine and millions of others but your words transcend them into a beautiful artistic achievement such as this. We are all engulfed in our tombs of desperation, but only few see it like you. Good Work
