Fine Weather For Some - Poem by Phil Soar

What fine weather for slugs and snails
Easing themselves out from under pots and pails
Slivering across the garden on slime trails
Slugs and snails

What decent weather for Ducks and Geese
Landing on the water with such ballet like ease
With water flowing off their backs like it would never cease
Ducks and Geese

What horrible weather for us
Standing waiting for the bus
Moaning, Groaning, with lots of fuss
Us

Superb landscape created by an array of nicely picked words. Two contrasting pictures in the wake of rains are a pleasure to read. Thanks. A beautiful quote:
What horrible weather for us / Standing waiting for the bus / Moaning, Groaning, with lots of fuss /
    Us
