Fired Cup Poem by Ima Ryma

Fired Cup

1940, the Stanley Cup
Was won by the New York Rangers.
But an accident did come up,
Putting the Cup in fire dangers.
The Rangers owed a mortgage on
Madison Square Garden and could
Pay off and make the mortgage gone,
Leaving the Rangers feeling good.
Inside the Cup the Rangers stuck
The mortgage and set it on fire.
Lit up the Cup too - what the puck!
The situation seemed quite dire.

How did extinguish come to be?
Rangers put out the fire with pee.
