Fix What's Been Broken Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Fix What's Been Broken

Rating: 5.0

A broken leg has undergone
Or been subjected to fracture;
It takes a lot of pain and time
Before the injury will cure.

A broken home or family
Is disunited by separation;
Shattered by couple's divorce
Or by one parent's desertion.

A broken vow or promise
Isn't kept by word of honor;
Violated by transgression,
By lies and deceptive favor.

A broken heart and spirit
Are wounded, weak or wimpy;
They're crushed and sorrowful,
Heal them to mend completely.

A broken bale of hay
Is not complete or full;
Life is fraught with flaws,
Patch or cover the hole.

A broken mountain ridge
Is odd and aberrated,
Life's foes and blocks abound,
True faith won't be defeated.

Anyone in gentle posture
That life breakers madden;
Be calm under pressure,
Fix what's been broken.
