Flashes Of The Past. Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

Flashes Of The Past.

Ah…. less regularly
They come to me now
Fragrant memories of leaping
Onto Starlight's back
Flying off into the desert
South of the Rio Grande
Adventure ever beckoning
All the way to that hidden
Casa on the Mesa…!
That pretty Senorita
Who promised sensually
To wait forever….

Sigh…. Oh my, how I wish
These memories were
Actually mine…

Hi Geoffrey, strange feelings about this one. It evoked memories of all the golden oldie Westerns and the characters. Am I Losing it or gaining it? well done as always.

Ha ha...No John you are not losing it at all... it definitely conjures up those memories of the golden era of the classic western. Sometimes I wish that I could go back and try that page in history. Thanks so much for your comments. Cheers Geoffrey.
