Flipped Out Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Flipped Out

Flipped out.
And gossiped to be misfit.
Yet loved by followers enjoying it.
Entertained they are.
As if given permission to do the same.
Believing the madness presented represents,
The needless use of having a brain.

Flipped out of their minds.
Done to do anytime they wish.
While attacking others,
Trying to hold onto their common sense.
And defenseless they feel,
This gets hopeless everyday.
Since they are forced to endorse,
A flipped out way of life.
To either pretend an acceptance of it.
Without a lip to bite or eyes to roll.
In public to show a disapproval exposed.
Or...
Be arrested for being a nonconformist.
And these are the diseasing times we find.
Decaying our quality of life and minds.
