Fly With Me Poem by G J Salgado

Fly With Me

For the first time I felt an angel's touch
I didn't know that angel would be you
It hurts so deep to miss you so much
I just want to run and hide
I slip further away as we both fade
I hear your voice calling me from the inside
I question why this pain must be
It's getting darker as the day is colder
That's when I heard you talking to me
You spoke to me as you came closer
When you feel that you're slipping away and falling down
I'm only a dream and a whisper away
I'll be there to pick you up before you reach the ground
Then you wrapped your angel wings around me
You told me that you'd teach me how to fly
Now close your eyes and come fly with me
I felt the clouds as we flew across the sky
I felt the wind across my lips
Racing against time remembering this moment
A touch of heaven upon my fingertips
Reminding me of your beautiful soul that I'll never forget
