For My Friend Hank

Actually, if you love the game of chess, it's for you, too.

This is from an actual game played 15 August 2023. Black has total control of the game and it is his move. How should he proceed from here? What should be his next move?

I have replaced the diagram that PH had sneakily removed. Now let's see if they will remove it again.

If he makes the right move, Black gets checkmate on his second move!

Hank is having trouble with his computer. For some reason he can see the text, but not the diagram. That's weird.

Hmmmmm... now I understand why Hank can't see the diagram. PH must have removed it. Why would they do that?

This is actually a game I played against a computer program. It was my move (as Black) in the diagram. What did I do?

I used to play chess with my siblings in my childhood days.So some rudimentary ideas I have about the game. How about the black soldier taking one step ahead to the side of the horse?

Nice try, Bharati, but if you make that move, White is in stalemate and the game is a draw! That's a half point for each player, and you want the full point. Try again, and thanks for playing!
