For Solomon, Who Sings So Many Verses Poem by Mitzi Kesterson

For Solomon, Who Sings So Many Verses

He lays me down and bathes me with his lips
Until I am clean and new with his kisses.
Never will I need more than this.
Never again will I walk the shore with yearning.
Instead I laugh in my heart-
I smile in secret, even when no one sees me.
I am happy. I am satisfied. I am content.
