There's something wrong with your face when you smile
Like it doesn't meet your eyes.
It's as though happiness is as foreign to you
As commitment.
-Yeah, commitment, you relationship guy-
I'll pass.
Just set you aside
Honestly, I want to tell you these things
And have you F I X it.
How often do you guys do that?
-Even when we don't want you to-
You have no idea
But I've gotta go back to being me
-or re-writing who I am
on my own time....
And if you aren't going to be involved in my story,
I'm going to write you out.
You've had plenty of time
To convince me.
I'm still a non-believer (in you) .
That's really all we need to know.

Nice colloquial touch you have! Informal speech and tone combine to tell a tale that has an edge!
