Forever In A Lifetime Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Forever In A Lifetime

I've been thinking bout you
Drowning in each thought as it approaches
The look in your eye takes me by surprise each time
Every moment lost in them
as if staring into the clouds
Igniting each ember that sparks
As if you've said nothing
The way your lips stand still as everything that needs to be said has still been spoken
I anticipate the way they part such purpose presented as
The smile that assures everything is going to be okay
As if Being blessed by God himself
Every moment becomes jealous of itself
Wishing to be relived as life is meant to be lived once
Your eyes give them hope
Drowning in a vast ocean that beckons for your return
The scent of what you'd smell like
The needing of having your hand touch mine
Forever is a mighty strong word but it too comes once in a lifetime
