Forget The Sword, Forget The Shield! Poem by Vaibhav Simha

Let us become the sword,
Sword breaking the enemy's unity.
Let us become the shield,
Shield protecting our nation's integrity!

Or let us all drop our destructive weapons
And hug each other, like the paintings' depictions.
O' I wonder how long my wish shall be granted
Or will it just be ignored like others whose hearts eroded?

Did god, the almighty, made us different?
After all, we are humans and we all have hearts, all magnificent!
And let us all dream of the world
Free from fights and feuds that turn the best people cold.

Oh, Listen! The soul of the Almighty's child,
Do you want us live in chaos and turn our hearts wild?
You shall protect the people, you owe
And shall allow the world peace to grow.

Forget your hatred, forget your past
Let us all hug like buddies, a little too fast.
And save this world from destruction
And I hope you have learnt your lesson!
