Forgive Poem by Paul Sebastian

Forgive

Forgive because you want to
Forgive even if it still hurts you
Forgive because love is stronger
Forgive or hurting stays longer
Forgive for own healing peace
Forgive so one forgiven is at peace
Forgive for your own sins are many
Forgive so you may receive mercy
Forgive for Christ died whilst we were sinners
Forgive for He is constantly pleading for us
Forgive for God of love chose to forgive first
Forgive to quench your own spiritual thirst
Forgive to restore healing love
Forgive to win grace from above
Forgive or hate will mount you in ill health
Forgive for it’s too late to do with a wreath
Forgive or faith live would fall apart
Forgive to walk the Lord’s path
Forgive for it is the Lord’s command
Forgive and men will honour your stand
Forgive for that is real wisdom
Forgive to inherit His Kingdom

Forgiveness is essential. If we do not forgive, it hurts us more than anyone else. True peace cannot come to you if you hold a grudge. Well written.
