Forgive Forget Forever Poem by Amit Biswas

Forgive Forget Forever

Yes, I have blown your cover, but I had to,
Year and a half, you have been acting, hitherto,

Illness turned you real, couldn't act any further,
That's when I could see your cap and the feather,

You are who you became due to your needs,
Business and survival pushed you to your deeds,

You needed me for some of your wants,
But you did keep a free bird, waiting at the wings,

You termed me engaged, possibly just a cash cow,
Jumped onto the free bird, giving away the right dough,

Still parents kept in dark, tracks covered, image maintained,
Having kicked the husband, you still call yourself married,

The victims you leave can't remain well-wishers,
One day or the other they will turn scorner,

Just devouring what you get can't be the right life,
Some day you shall fall on the edge of the knife,

When you were treated, like you were never,
It was time to offer him you hadn't given ever,

But to give one needs to be a giver,
Just gobbling can't continue forever,

Still you did what you did for your devoirs,
Want to forgive you, forget you and forever.
