Forgiving Mistakes Made Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Forgiving Mistakes Made

Mistakes with intention to make,
Are not mistakes made.
When premeditated.
They maybe thought of that,
By someone caught in the act deceiving.
To later use an excuse.
In the hopes this qualifies,
For a forgiveness to be given.
Coming from someone,
Who has recently been rewarded...
A reservation in Heaven.
Knowing mistakes made to intend,
Are misdeeds to do consciously.

However...
If a forgiveness to give it,
Gets someone...
Wings, halo, golden slippers and a harp?
With 24/7 angels singing,
Country, rhythm and blues 'and' rock?
Those with this to envision,
As an 'afterlife' to live for all eternity?
Will not jeopardize this opportunity to receive,
And will forgive anyone they see...
Holding a list of mistakes.
They are in the process of making.
And depending on the weather,
May suggest others to make...
If this recommendation gets,
One investing in forgiveness...
Routine visits from those declared 'Saints'!
