Four Lyrics Of Red Bean Poem by Luo Zhihai

Four Lyrics Of Red Bean

★ Four Lyrics of Red Bean

☆ Poetry by Wang Guowei (1877-1927, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)

I.

In deep fall of southland can do nothing
Appreciate a few red beans in my hand
A string of them originally are heartless things
Who put the leisure sadness to him?

II.

Green trees outside door and boats outside wall of the city
Helpless life is parting sadness
Go out of my way to wish towards the east wind
Everywhere in the world Shi You is

III.

At farewell water waves gleaming
Lean against the railing in vast. How is the yearning?
Even if plant them all south of the Yangtse River
I'm afraid that yearning will grow sturdily next spring

IV.

Ten thousands of them are round and exactly alike
Stealthily count them several thousand times but infatuated and untired
Remaining under the silver candle in the future time
Take them to talk about the yearning at night
