Four Pearls Inlaid Ornament [37- 39] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Four Pearls Inlaid Ornament [37- 39]

37. Denying alms to the beggars, they hang their face.
The benevolent rich are the stick to climb for the beggars.
Fearlessness to a huge army is the best support to a king.
Refusal to eat meat is the real support to human lives.

38. A goldsmith makes the exact jewels he sees.
The wise men make useful things from what they hear.
The selfless great do the things others want.
The great who restrain anger do things out of their thoughts.

39. Wealth flees from the immoral people.
The god of death doesn't pay heed to the pleas of the dying.
However you try your best, you can't hide lust.
The style of the rule relies on the king's conduct.
