Four Pearls Inlaid Ornament [ 64- 66] Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Four Pearls Inlaid Ornament [ 64- 66]

64. The rich man gets what he wants.
The seeds sprout only when there is water.
If Thirumagal[goddess of wealth] looks nice, wealth swells.
If she looks with scorn, wealth abates.

65. The tiger eats meat and so it is strong.
The herd of cows graze the grass and be in joy.
The low-born eat just rice and be merry.
The high feel happy when they do befitting deeds.

66. An imprudent man sees the hitches after starting an act.
The probing minded foresees the troubles before the deed started.
One who tries and gets a thing, feels intent towards it.
Acts of the desireless never go wrong.
