Freedom And Obscurantism Poem by leonard daranjo

Freedom And Obscurantism

Rating: 4.0

You never let me settle in
And breathe the free air
You never let me focus
And always hem me in
I am kind of crippled,
And forever bubbling
And dribbling faint traces
Of vestigial sanity
I want to reach out
Through this thick veil
Of stygian darkness
But you always impale me,
Transfix me and impede me
And shatter me into
A million molecules
I ask you
If I became silent
And crept into hiding
Would the world
Become a better place
And more comfortable
For you
