Fons Et Origa Poem by leonard daranjo

Fons Et Origa

I need a major upheaval
A tectonic change
The distillation of time
Into life’s empty cup
The disentangling of my soul
From the spirals of barbed wire
The emancipation of my consciousness
From the tyranny of endless chatter
The neutralisation of prejudicial colouring
So that I may creep back
In to the womb of creation
To begin anew, to begin afresh
So that I may carve for myself
A swathe of light
In a sea of utter and total darkness
And forge past the dreadful treachery
Of word, memory and repetitive action
Where sound comes through
In its purest form
And images are seen
For what they are
