Freedom Of Speech Is Not Absolute Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Freedom Of Speech Is Not Absolute

People want freedom of speech with no rules,
To say what they want to say, but that's for fools.

Freedom of speech is not an absolute freedom,
Laws have set boundaries and are stricter for some.

The reason is logical and to me rather fair,
It limits the chaos to which some idiots dare.

Words can incite many to a revolution,
Can spark Hate and Violence against institutions.

Words can create a vile and vicious dilemma,
Where people are spun into a political brouhaha.

Some can encourage uprisings or sedition.
Some can destroy others just by defamation.

Some assassinate character by their false writing,
With the fake news and lies that they keep posting.

Life is not a circus,we think before we act,
We must write what we know as the truth and fact.

Freedom of speech requires responsibility
It must regard rights of others to be truly free.
