freedom went for a walk a quiet stroll
to visit a monument erected to peace
in a past era when a monument to peace
was allowed but sadly as freedom drew close
a crowd of protesting war mongers were violently
descending down a steep hill swiftly proceeded
to attack the statue of peace with hammers picks
an odd jack hammer after a few hours when protesters
had grown tired from their labour destroying
a statue to peace freedom quietly drew near
freedom softly asked 'Why do you not give
peace a chance? ' the violent crowd sudden swift
turned on freedom like a shoal of hunger piranha
wanting to eat freedom flesh to bone picked up
rocks both sharp and blunt from the destroyed statue
of peace and promptly stoned freedom lover of peace
to death a scientific analysis blunt rocks cause bruises
the sharp rocks cuts leaving blood trails after a lovely
stoning one of the war lovers was heard to say to another
'the world is a better place, rejoice another peace lover
is dead, the only good peacemaker is a dead peace maker'
true said another war monger but what I cannot understand
is who would dream build a statue to peace here to spoil
this place of beautiful statues to war both stood silent
for a while then both left for their homes to watch yet
another media justified promoted war somewhere in
Europe the Middle East while in that far away country
mothers cried as their precious beloved child sons died
