From One Step To Another Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

From One Step To Another

It takes a lot of patience,
To adapt and adopt a new process.
Few are born to know what to do,
Before graduating.
From one step to another.
This endeavor more than not,
Requires encouragement.
And a group effort.
Especially when one begins,
Seeking the security,
Of what approval does to bring.
Enabling one to face challenges that come.

If anyone should make learning look easy.
And for them simple and a breeze.
Those who insist this without this to witness,
Know little about curiosity.
And how the unknown for some can attract.
With a determination that motivates,
An inquisitive mind.
Until they find that which satisfies.

Yet,
Some will sit impatiently.
To exclaim they know what they don't.
Then later demand what they don't understand,
Have tailor made questions to compensate...
Their inability to take discovery,
As a personal revelation.
To then again and again,
Pretend to comprehend.
And 'still' not know what it is they do!
