From The Land Of Italy Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

From The Land Of Italy

Rating: 5.0

You are not alone
When you are alone coming down the walk
Over that airbase
Seems to be the sun's not nightly sojourn
Nor short of a paradise to pigeons
Where they come in flocks
And they come to fill their bellies
With corn from nature's bower
Or from your love and care
For they create beauty with their wings
Feathers of which seem sometimes
Coming down from heaven
And beak-to-beak exchanges of corn
You walk with them and sunshine
Oh, such beauty and beauty
Back and forth you seem lost in them
Yet not surprised at their crowding
With wings softly touching you
Your head, nose and eyes in cloud nine
But
Why they are flying light
Bewildered your carryall on wheel stops a while
And amidst flapping and cooing
You look like an angel beckoning them
Until they lay still with your little smile
And you exit leaving them alone
With tears in your eyes
For the hell is out to sicken you
Even in the land of heaven

From the land of Italy you have expressed wonderful emotional thought. The danger is dancing everywhere in the world. Covid-19 has threatened the entire world. This poem provokes thought. We think Corona will no more exist in this Earth. This poem is meant for social awareness.10
