Game Of God Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Game Of God

Game of God
- - - - - - - - - -
He is known
By another name
Scarcely known
To his grieving mother
A soul of yesterday
Though whiled away
A year or two since born
From time's eternal garden
When innocence was caused
To vulnerable temptation

The soul of happy things
Looked lost in play things
Beneath a mirthful sun
When he was whisked away
By a person to a place unknown
Playful, lively and cheerful
Blinked his eyes
Ignorant and insensible
Not wisdom nor right nor wrong
Could make him think things rightful

A doll and a toffee
Made him to love the world
Around, his own and his whole
Hence in an unknown
Melted down his love
Forever glued and christened
The unbroken bond as mother-son
Time traversed to reach the truth
But it was not too late to be a boon

Entangled in a legal battle
At length there came a solace to all
That the stealer of the child
Be punished
And the adopter whose love
Is no less pure than shinning gold
And the owner who has been crying since
Be awarded equal status of parenthood
Now with two mothers
King god awards the child
With a crown of gold…….

Beautiful poem from your pen based on reality. This incident had really happened long back, I forgot the year, the child was lost and found and was blessed with both the mothers.....I love the way you presented it so beautifully.

Such things happen more often now a days than ever before! For money, children are abducted, sometimes sold or sometimes used for begging or to claim ransome money! However a mother who loses the child can never more be at peace with herself or the world! The child is often too innocent to feel the difference! Here fortunately the child is double lucky to get back his real mother and his foster mother! A great write, Deepak!
