Frozen Tears Poem by Nhat Thuy Vi

Swallowing my tears to write a few last words
To you my love, to a distant friend
As a fading flower I awaiting new shoot
Oh, my child! how life be so discontent

Your cries, dear child, echoing far in depth
Last strength of life – I give all to you!
Let me hold you – till my last breath
Let me hold you – till death bestowed

A young heart of mine – why loses its beats
Why not together, child - we could walk in life?
why those tears keep rolling down my cheeks
Oh darling, where has it gone, a sweetness of life?

Reaching out your little hands, I hold your touch
My heart feels pain – oh, as to pieces it’s torn
How sorrows and pain descending in such
To our life, as if heaven’s scorn

Who to blame for a young life’s cut short?
As a flower wilted when it is yet to bloom!
Tears of sadness – let frozen tears rolled not
And cry no more – for darkness soon falls!

Giọt Buồn

Uống nước mắt để viết bài thơ cuối
Gửi người tình gửi bè bạn xa xôi
Kiếp hoa phai chờ lá nỏn đâm trồi
Nhìn con dại khôn nguôi dòng huyết lệ

Tiếng khóc con thơ lời tim tôi kể
Ý nghĩa cuộc đời trao hết cho con
Dù ngày mai hơi thở mõi mòn
Cho tôi được ôm con lần cuối

Tim vẫn nóng sao tôi không đủ sức
Để nuôi con cho con đến trưởng thành
Mắt con buồn nước mắt nhỏ long lanh
Tôi nuốt mặn, ngọt ngào lòng thương cảm

Tay bé thơ trong nôi hồng quờ quạng
Tim sắt se lệ đọng kết giọt buồn
Thương con thơ đời chưa chút bụi vương
Mà khăn trắng trong nôi hồng con nhận

Hoa đã úa nhụy tàn phai hương sắc
Đời bấp bênh tôi oán hận chi đời
Buồn vẫn đọng trong hồn tôi dày đặc
Đêm sẻ tàn đời tách rẽ đôi nơi.
