Gallant~ Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

Gallant~

Rating: 5.0

Oh Knight Errant of an embellished era
Write your ever enchanting verse to me
Dazzle me with your quill upon parchments still
Come save me from this torrential sea;

For the tempest has cast it's ugly, ugly head
In gales and rain- - a most ghastly foe
A reckless sea may, indeed, be the end of me
Come show me the hero that i have come to know;

Sweep me up in a whirlwind of rescue
Come forth through the eye of the storms unforgiving glance
Embrace me with mighty arms while i succumb to your charms
Carry me to our paradise of blissful romance;

For 'tis unfathomnable, yet to me
That the deep could truly swallow me whole
Bathe me in the bright of your golden sunlght
Give of me your heart and your soul;
