Gas Chambers Poem by Lauren Coles

Gas Chambers

Rating: 5.0

What bravely did it take for Elie Wiesel to come forward to speak up,
They weren't expecting the treatment that they deserve,
They had to obey orders or no food or water,
Families were torn apart,
People have to be strong to look fear and death in the eye,
Who in the right mind would be so evil to not care about human beings.
If it weren't for the journals that they kept we wouldn't know the history,

Excellent poem in all its truth and sadness. Such cruelty seems unimaginable.! But it did happen and should never be forgotten nor forgiven
