Ghosts - Poem by Brittany Fegley
Flicker in the night
Don't look
Under my bed
In my closet
For I fear
My ghosts are near
My drawers are full
Filled with despair
More ghosts
I'm their host
My bed lies low
But so does my heart
My closet is closed
But so is my soul
No cracks
No breaks
Don't try to climb in
The stairs to my heart
Are a slippery slope
Don't try to climb in
There is no hope
No hope for me
No hope for you
I know love
It's a lot to chew
My faults
Fill your mouth
I know love
You'll choke
Leave, don't come close
You'll only die
From my faint less cry
