Ghosts, Ghouls, And Goblins Poem by Ramona Thompson

Ghosts, Ghouls, And Goblins

Bridge

Run
Run
Run away
But I can never get far enough away
From the monsters haunting me in my head tonight
A thousand and one of them
Never letting me be
Never letting me have any peace of mind
Living and dying
With all these ghosts, goblins, and ghouls
In my head tonight

Spinning nightmares
Another verison of my own personal Hell
Assaulting me
Tormenting me
Wondering if it will ever stop
Knowing that it never will
I take another step closer
Closer to the darkness burning
Too damm bright in my eyes tonight

REPEAT BRIDGE

Shocking
How cunning and cruel your memory can be
Following me everywhere that I go
Never letting me forget
That I was the one who let you
Let you hurt me
So bad
So damm bad
Don't think that I'll ever recover
Don't think that I'll ever be able to stop
All at once
These demons destorying all my dreams

REPEAT BRIDGE

Waited and waited
But boy you would never make-up your mind
Between me and her
Fate pushing us to a deadline
Too little, too late
Our time just ran out
Leaving me alone
Without you
I cry in the pain but can never stop
Hating you for what you did to us
Split me into so many in my head
Every single day waking up a brand new me

REPEAT BRIDGE

Voices
So many voices
Wanting their chance to speak
Their chance to be heard
Inconceivable
That one woman could survive
The horror you left me to live
Never know who's gonna be who or when
Just know that I don't want to
That I can't go on
With all these ghosts, goblins, and ghouls
Living inside my head tonight
