Girl Poem by Paul Butters

Girl

Girl slumbers, clothed in sun:
Flyless Venus-Flytrap,
Void of motion, thought or action,
Still-life image,
Lake of oil lays waiting for a flame to come.

Her head, factory of outworn thoughts,
Churns patterns of the past………………

(Notes: Quite an old one this. Interrupted as I had to go on holiday!) .
