It is not enough to be just 'who' we are today.
Today we must be on alert...
To insure who we believe we are,
Hasn't been overtaxed.
Or devalued at our own expense.
We must show what we treasure,
Does not suffer from a neglect,
We leave disrespected.
Glisten, glow and shine...
All the time.
Even those flaws and blemishes,
We rather keep hidden.
Are themselves also gems!
If they belong to us...
What else could they be?
Dedicated to:
My sister...
