Glittering Nights Poem by Paula Glynn

Glittering Nights

Business nights,
Ruby lights and diamond life,
I dream of your glittering life,
I dream of everything tonight,
I want those blues and jazz bars,
Where musicians play guitar,
And treat me like a star,
As I spend romantic nights in clubs,
Nights worth the fights,
For a taste of freedom,
Money unbound,
Money in the millions,
For I love the diamond life,
I love using words as a knife,
For I am the hardest,
A dreamer maybe,
But I want my baby,
To be the honey I deserve,
A man so true,
That he shares my vision,
For a perfect world,
A world where everything goes right,
And I spend ruby nights,
Living it up,
Having all the luck,
And just not giving up.
