It is a man-made disaster
little blame can be passed on nature
otherwise, it is man made
now it has become a trade

even though, oil find is in abundance
Africa has never found a chance
to glitter on the international scene
but such plight was never seen before

rivalry for the power game
no one can be blamed
many power-hungry clans tried to overthrow the elected Government
and subjected the population to undergo miseries at present

some states resorted to piracy
they gained the label of notoriety
the sailors and passengers were taken as hostage
and released after negotiation for the huge fund

the dictators turned heavily on the population
no dissent was tolerated and there was further deterioration
they were forced to flee from their own homeland
and take shelter in refugee camps in another land

they were undernourished and forced to starve
even young women were looking like old women
now it is high time to draw worldwide attention
and bring the situation under control
