Glory To Aeneas Poem by Bidisha Sharaf

Glory To Aeneas

Rating: 5.0

No, I do not want to be your Dido,
I do not want to be left over.
Will you listen to your father, Aeneas?
Are you scared about
Your great glorified future to be combined with my perplexity?

Do we define juxtaposition?
Aeneas, you cannot go!
That ‘V' line on your body
Or your sharp jaw line,
How can I find that on someone else?

Aeneas, tell me how can I let you go?
You never committed but
Dido left everything and took oath to be with you.

Your sticky hair as I could not oil it
You were worried about having no beard
How foolish of you!

One long night and hundreds short afternoon
Oh Aeneas! How can I let you go?
Deities sent you to me
I am your protector, sympathizer and sustainer.

Hercules, Augustus will borne to you
And you will forget Dido.
One kiss on your neck and thousands on your lips,
You took me on a ride to heaven,

You, your honesty and the sweetness
Under the belly button!
The world of glory you belong to,
Will never be mine.
Dido leaves but why can't I?

Aeneas, you flow a river
I float paper boats there,
Knowing the boats would sink.

Can you sing me a lullaby?
I want to sleep, forever.
I want to sleep in your arms
And never wake up again.
