Winners will be winners
leaders will be leaders;
they have all assembled
to contest and be victorious;
in the campaign furor
one criticizes the other
one demotes the other,
one opposes the other
one praises the other;
the title is the same
the election is the name,
the goal is the same
the triumph is the game;
they aim to win
and be the ministers of our State;
in their speeches
one talks good of his comrade,
the other talks so harshly about his rival;
and as they support their party's ideals,
they rope in their efforts
to uphold their old unity and new amity;
they feel so enthusiastic
to oppose their opponents,
they talk so boldly and openly
of moral and morality,
as they want to alert the people
to vote wisely;
and as they walk
to convince and capture support,
the lanes and alleys are the same
the homes are not different;
the way is the same
only the day is different,
the people are the same
the candidates are old and new;
but their slogan is the same -
- 'vote for me' - is the common plea;
once they win they feel like kings;
just one vote from everyone
confers upon them the power
to drive their vehicle for five years without fuel;
the vehicle of promises and plunders.
of blessings and blunders, thus begins.
