Goa Elections - A Spectacular Tournament (The Satire)

Goa Elections Tournament is now at its peak
as the teams are ready to play the Finals,
players have even deliberately glided into other teams
hoping to win over their rivals and be the champions;

the game has not changed for the past many years,
but something will change now and shake away many fears,
everyone is waiting that someone will play a better game
or that someone will lose while someone will earn more fame;

and though the same players have been out there
under the sun for decades on our political fields,
they have been patting each other's back like brothers
and have even defected to the other party to extend full support;

but as the new tournament has picked up good momentum,
and as some old players have joined some new teams
together all the teams have done their own warm-up exercises
hoping to win the finals on the Valentine's day victoriously.

And as the local political teams have geared up their dreams,
many national party leaders have come to extend their expertise
and they have walked from home to home even in villages
to garner support and vote for their own players to triumph;

and as our Goans have agreed to play as center-forwards,
they know will be placed as goalkeepers in the later years;
but our Goan players have canvassed and campaigned heartily
as they want to ensure their victory and become montris;

so, all our political candidates are sportingly active like the bees
and they keep our Goans engrossed with swaying promises;
as no one wants to be a loser though they know all cannot win,
they do not want to forget the prosperity politics bequeaths;

and as the tournament of election will now conclude
some will go on and grab Minister positions
some will stand and sit in the Opposition and watch like moon
while you and I will be mere spectators for the next five years;

so voters, vote for the right candidate,
vote for the right party to dominate your motherland
make your Goa a paradise of peace and not plunder
make your Goa a hub of honesty and not corruption.
