Father of love and compassion
father of healing and curing
father of masses and devotees
always guiding people towards faith and spirituality
always sharing in people's plights and tragedies
always rushing to comfort the sick and the ailing,
more than himself he cared for other's wellness;
so dedicated to God and mercy
so faithful to his religious duties
so committed to spiritual blessings
so enthusiastic about divine ardency;
multitudes of people thronging everyday
to hear the words he spoke,
to seek the consolation he offered
and to praise God for the favors they received
upon the intercession of his prayers;
where will we ever find a man of care and concern
where will we ever find again a shoulder to weep on
where will we find a heart to speak to so openly
where will we find an ear that will listen to every voice;
where will we find a man who shared the joys and tears
of the very rich and the very poor so equally?
Where will we find a priest who lived so gloriously
in love with his ardency to God and humanity?
Fr. Conceicao, in your memory, we will weep.
in your words, our ears will reverberate.
in your recollections, all Goans will sob
but in your love and affection Goa will wake up
everyday and cherish the empathy and benevolence
you offered to all those who came to you
in pain, in distress, in anxiety and that you relieved them
with your prayers and healing which was an endowment
granted to you by a divine power called compassion.
