God Does Forgive Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

God Does Forgive

Rating: 5.0

This crisis.
Hasn't been divisive at all.
This crisis.
Has brought people to their knees.
Those rich and poor and every race.
Leaving nothing but humanity,
As it is and meant to be.

This...
Crisis.
Did not discriminate.
And this crisis.
Came to eliminate hate.
And this crisis,
Will eventually show a way...
To appreciate our differences.
As God intended,
Valued and to stay.

No one knows,
What this pandemic came to prove.
And...
Nobody really knows,
Where it started to make a move.
And nobody knows,
Who to accuse or blame...
For all the anguish and all the pain.
Maintained sustained.

Oh! This crisis.
Hasn't been divisive at all.
Oh no this crisis...
Didn't pick a race to crawl,
Through anguish.
No, it didn't pick a race to crawl,
Through suffering to feel the pain.
No, it didn't pick one race to crawl.
All races are made to do the same.

Eventually to call on God.
To remove us from our despair.
To eventually...
Call on The Creator.
To remember 'Who' blessed us,
With life to live.
Although we messed it up.
God does forgive!
Although we messed it up.
God does forgive!

Great poem so well written with a great and moral message for one and all. We should all read and reflect on in our frenetic yet so fickle lives.
