God Had A Plan For Me Poem by Randy McClave

God had a plan for me
As I still look and see,
And whenever I say a prayer
I know that God is always there.
When people have done me wrong
I always gave them a happy song,
And whenever anyone needed my assistance
They never found any resistance.
If anyone ever needed any cash
For birthdays or Christmas's I was there in a dash,
And if they ever needed any food
I'd bring it, and with a prayer I'd include.
If anyone ever needed a ride
I'd pick them up, with both honor and pride,
When she needed new clothes to wear
At the clothing store, we would both were there.
Instead of buying her a bottle of scotch
I instead bought her a watch,
So, she would remember the time of day
Then for her family at church, we would pray.
My heart it still happily sings
When I had purchased her pearl earrings,
Not because I had to, but because I wanted
And she was happy, but still undaunted.
Whenever that she was very ill
I would always bring her food and a pill,
And when she gave me a passionate kiss
She was in love, I was in bliss.
I still wear a happy smile upon my face
Which no person or demon could ever erase,
Now I think, when I first met she
God indeed had a plan for me.
