God The Human - Poem by Megan Ayscue

To dip below the glowing horizon
To rise about the smoke of Hell’s fury
To circle the earth that we call home
To bring power and joy to the masses below

Soar among those clouds so sweet
Soar among those birds so high
Rise above the ashes of death
Reclaim the glory of humanity

Break through the bounds of man
Defy gravity, logic, and command
Bring forth the rise of a new power
And glorify the will of man into one

Be their God, be their one and only
Be the one who makes the world spin round
Lead them to the Promised Land
Of your mind, of what you know to be true

The truth is there, waiting to be seen
It is hidden; you must make them see
Be their God, be their one and only
Be the savior of the cursed earth
