Gone Fishing - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Gone Fishing - Lincoln Park Zoo

This bear does like to fish, I do,
Often a sitting in the stream,
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
Catching a fish a daily dream.
Of course the keepers give me fish
As part of my diet to eat,
But that's unfrozen in a dish,
The catching should be the fun feat.
And so into the stream I go,
Perhaps today will be the day.
Watching the fishless waters flow,
There be no fish, but still I stay.

Never a fish here have I caught,
Just instinct, bearlieve it or not.
