Good Day Canada
Good day Canada
Happy birthday again to you
Quite a few things on your plate
With covid still in view
The workplace landscape iffy
Companies reeling from distress
The compensation packages tendered
A handout for relief of stress
A temporary financial relief
Still with the reality of it all in view
A long term settlement of grief
While the fallout is attended too
But our God is still in control
Though men may not acknowledge it as such
He above all is still superintending
For He loves us so very much
It could be His leading to give us
A spiritual perspective on life
In the midst of it all He's our only hope
He alone can deliver us from strife
Remember it's appointed unto men once to die
There's no escaping that fact
Whether by old age...accidental...or disease
We'll succumb to one of those acts
So how is your soul my brother
Are you trusting solely in Him
Or are you agonizing over what the future holds
When He holds the future in His hands
Dear Lord make Canada repentant
In regards to their acknowledgement of sin
For if only men would see that their deepest need is Christ
It would most definitely be a win win!
Happy Birthday Canada!
Hallelujah what a Saviour!
