Goodbye Mr Cummings Poem by Shaun Cronick

Goodbye Mr Cummings

Rating: 5.0

Dominic Cummings.
I'm not one to point a finger,
But you simply had to go.
Your conceit was beyond belief,
Now reaping what you sow.

Lies piled high on lies,
Deceit after endless deceit.
Grab your mask and coat,
Now turned out on the street.

You got away with political murder,
With the bodies buried deep.
The blood still on your hands,
Never stopped you losing sleep.

But then the day of reckoning,
The PM finally had had enough.
You now became a curt liability,
Out which you couldn't bluff.

So at long last Mr Cummings,
So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye.
History will teach one thing,
It doesn't pay to lie.

It's definitely a flabbergasted that he's finally gone...why did it take so long inspired five from me!

I agree Shaun. He definitely had to go and good riddance. That said compared to the odious Alastair Campbell who has actual blood on his hands, he is a mere. These grotesque political advisers, whether Tory or Labour, are a stain on so called democracy. I wonder who BoJo will appoint as his replacement? ! In my opinion, if Cummings had to leave then so should he...what an obnoxious toad he is...Toad of Toad Hall certainly.
