Grafton Street Epiphany Poem by Dónall Dempsey

Grafton Street Epiphany

Rating: 5.0

Eager to dance

our feet
dash across

the summer street

the sudden rain

catching us
by surprise

I soaked
to the skin

covering you
with my jacket

as we break
into a grin

& run

our feet barely
touching the ground.

'So, this is
...love? !

you thought

running between
raindrops

not getting wet

protected

by laughter &
kiss after kiss

waltzing in late
to Jazz Ballet Class.
