Growth Poem by Samanyan Lakshminarayanan

Growth

Rating: 5.0

The body has grown leaving the mind behind.
Our lifestyle has grown leaving life's true meaning behind.
Science has rapidly grown leaving our philosophical growth behind.

This is a lopsided growth indeed.
The body is solid and grown.
The lifestyle is luxuriously overgrown.
Our science and technologies have dangerously overgrown.
All these have eaten into our 'True existence'.
This is a lopsided growth indeed.
This 'growth' cannot even look at itself in a mirror-
Without 'FEAR'.

great poem, what is the essence of life if in growth the thoughts is being left behind....I loved the last two lines, it painted well the fear of one to the inner self...10+++

This 'growth' cannot even look at itself in a mirror- Without 'FEAR'. I love this line! 'FEAR' only if you people forgotten to look at the simplicity first. The simplicity of the beginning.

Interesting, it is a lopsided growth. Our heart tells us there is more than the physical yet so many struggle for the physical and have forgotten the soul. It stunts growth and leaves people empty, causing strife and unhappiness an unbalance...10
