Guess I Was Wrong - Poem by Baby Blue

i was mad at you, for tearing up my heart
i thought that we would forever be apart,
that what i felt was not mutual;
but i guess that i was wrong.

you surprised me, and it made me happy.
i now have a reason to look forward to
tomorrow; to the future, for it looks bright.

some people tell me to be careful,
that i might get my heart broken,
but it tells me that you wouldn't do that.

you've been hurt yourself,
and ive been torn before,
so baby, we will love eachother with all the
love that we have left; and i know for sure
that what we have is true.

A positive love poem with just a slight sense of shaky hope.

    Nice work,

    awwwww! ><
love it, its almost sad at first when it hints at a difficult past and hard letdowns, but the end is so positive and sure it just makes me really happy and bright and hopeful. the last two lines of the third part 'that i might bet my heart broken, / but it tells me that you wouldn't do that.' is my favorate part because the amount of trust it shows is so beautuful and ideal and inspiring (plus i can relate to the feeling, even if it turned out false for me)
    anyways, nice poem
