Gypsy Girls Poem by Afzal Shauq

Gypsy Girls

Rating: 5.0

Heart of a gypsy
so difficult to catch
moving quickly
like a gust of air...
here then gone.

The gypsy girls
like water ripples
always in motion
driven onward.

From dawn till dusk
and beyond…
endless their search
for flowing water.

This is life.
The way of the gypsy
Their need for water
keeps them searching.

There is something very spiritual about this lovely poem and at the same time it's so basic in in its physicality and its earthiness.
