A Strange Justice - Poem by Afzal Shauq

The one
who is supposed to
give me justice has
amazingly declared her heart
as a court,
she herself as a judge to hear,
her brain as a lawyer to plea,
herself witnesses to prove,
even then
her decisions are also based on
the rules and regulations
mentioned in the black book of law,
she constructed herself
as per her own willingness too.

I love anything related to courts, justice and judges, I wrote a poem using this language myself. I loved the images you used and the referances you made. Again, awesome (Report)Reply

this poem is full of love that it is truly amazing, to use the simple imagery of a court of law, her brain as a lawyer to me says that her heart and her mind are at war and she desperately want to follow her heart but her brain has so many good arguments as to why not to follow him. This poem i believe will always be universally appealing no matter the person no matter the day and age. (Report)Reply

you never know what to expect from a woman.
heart is the court, then you will have a fair judgment.
